After a little hiatus, I am back with a new episode! In this one I am sharing a lot of knitting content and some beautiful packages that I received in the mail.

Ravelry Group

Click here to get to the dunkelgrun ravelry group, where you can find knitalongs and a lot of fun chatter and inspiration. I would love to see what you guys are crafting and have created a thread for that! We also have a thread for dyeing – where you can show off your handdyed yarns and fiber and ask questions! I’d love to see you there!

Andaljus socks pattern release

A couple of weeks ago I released the Andaljus sock pattern. A huge thank you to all the lovely people who testknitted this pattern for me – you were amazing!

Click here to find the pattern on ravelry!

I have decided that I will randomly give away copies of this pattern to members of our ravelry group. At the end of every month I will let the random number generator pick a post from the introductions thread, the show us your crafts thread and the out of the dyepot thread!

Knitting in Progress

Et Cetera Socks

  • Yarn: Ovis Et Cetera – Et cetera sock set “klei donker”, 85% Kempisch heideschaap wool 15% polyamide, Fingering weight, 2 ply.
  • Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1 1/2), magic loop.
  • Toe up socks – twisted rib, faux cable – charted and written instructions. Two heel options: german short row and gusset & flap heel – I went for the latter because I never knit toe up socks with a heel flap. And I was totally amazed by this construction! It was not my last toe up sock with a gusset and heel flap!

Unini the unicorn

  • Pattern: I knit this unicorn last year and now I want to recreate it and write the pattern. It’s going very well and the testknit is going to be kicking off soon!
  • Yarn: organic merino dk dyed in rainbow colors to mimick the naturally dyed shades of the original unicorn.

Blanket

  • Pattern: Memory Blanket by Georgie Nicolson
  • Yarns: DK and worsted weight scraps, Cast On 30 stitches for each square.
  • Needles: 4 mm (US 6)

Flower Potion

  • Pattern: Fall Flower by Vera Sanon, was originally released as an MKAL
  • Yarn: Malabrigo Arroyo in colorway Pocion (Sport to DK weight yarn).
  • Needles: US 4 – 3.5 mm
  • My gauge is slightly larger than suggested in the pattern. I am knitting a size XXS and am aiming at some inches of positive ease.
