Apart from some pretty finished rainbow socks and the usual chatter about knitting in progress this episode features a special segment about handdyed yarns that create a pooling color pattern when they are knit up.
Also I am sharing my thoughts on different styles of ribs when applied in the cuffs of handknit socks.
If you are interested in only part of the episode, check out the infobox on YouTube, where you will find shortcut links to the different segments!

Comparison of Different Types of Ribbing on the Cuff of a Sock:
My recommendation:
- Use a 1×1 twisted rib (ktbl, p1) if your priority is a decorative cuff
- Use a 1×1 normal rib (k1, p1) if your priority is functionality: This rib will hold your sock in place and avoid that the sock slides down while you wear it
- Use a 2×2 rib (k2, p2) if you want to have a cuff that holds your sock in place even better!
Pooling Yarns
The yarns shown in the video were dyed by myself and the colorways are “glowstone” and “chameleon“.
