Episode 25: Sheep Shearing & Fall Knits

Knitting season is in full swing as we have arrived in November already! In this episode I share with you my fall accessory knitting projects and we take a little trip to see the annual sheep shearing event at Spycher Handwerk here in Switzerland. Improvised Shetland Shawl

Pattern: Improvised top down triangular shawl. Plain stockinette body and a lace border inspired by the Tales from the Isle of Purbeck shawl.
Yarn: The Ross Farm Heritage & Rare Breed Fibers, shetland wool from the sheep “Lindy” (brown) and “Heliotrope” (beige). 3ply Sport, 250 yards / 230 meters
Needles: 5.00 mm (US 8) Lykke Needles

Birdbook Skiff

Pattern: Skiff by Jared Flood
Yarn: Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in the colorway “birdbook”
Notes: I did a lot of modifications to make this pattern work for me. You can find all the details about that on my ravelry page for this project.

Autumnal Pair-fect Socks

Pattern: Top-down stockinette socks with a slip stitch heel flap & gusset and rounded toe.
Yarn: Schachenmayr Regia Pairfect Rainbow Color, Colorway 1734
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1½) Lykke fixed circulars (magic loop)

Slava mittens

Pattern: Slava by Handmade Riot
Yarn: Fox&Sheep yarns Organic merino, Sport weight non-superwash yarn
Natural color and naturally dyed with madder
Needles: 2.0 mm (US 0) Knit Pro Naturals DPNs
